"Hey everyone.

I wanted to let everyone know of a contest we are having for the Grimm: Dynasty book that will be out June 17, 2011 at Philly Con.

We are putting together a $5 a ticket raffle to help off set some of the print cost for the book. So instead of going the route of Kickstarter, like most folks, we are going to offer up $5 raffle tickets for purchase from now until June 19, 2011, when the winner will be drawn at Philly Con.

You do not have to be at Philly Con to win.

Here are the prizes:

First place will win: Three pieces of original art from issue 1 of Grimm, which will be picked by me.
One free 11x17 commission from anyone you like from :iconalphadogstudios:

1 Free signed copy of Grimm: Dynasty #1

Second place will win: One piece of original art from issue 1 of Grimm, which will be picked by me.
One free 8.5x11 commissio from anyone you choose from :iconalphadogstudios:

One free signed copy of Grimm Dynasty #1

Third place will win: One free sketch card commission from anyone you choose from :iconalphadogstudios:

First off, I'm behind in doing this, but I want to give a big ol' thank you to a great DA friend, James :icondevgear: for the DA upgrade. It has been fun experimenting with it and checking out the different features. I'd also like to add that James is a very talented inker! Go check out his page........ devgear.deviantart.com/

Secondly, I'd like to let you know that we have a few more books left over at :iconalphadogstudios: . Go check it out! You get a free sketch from any studio member with a purchase of the sketch book!!

Thirdly, I absolutely love looking through other peoples favs. It really gives you a good insight to the things they enjoy as well as an opportunity to find new artist. With that said, my faves are more like a reference file than an actually depiction of what I like and alot of my favs contain figures not suitable for my 10 yr old nephew's eyes, soooo I decided to hide them from the main page!

Lastly, and probably most importantly, I wanted to fill in those who may have just resurfaced from under a rock and let you know that Tim Townsend :icontimtownsend: is offering up a couple of pages of all original art (pencil to ink) to help with a great friend to many, and a huge inspiration to all, Chad Fuller :iconchadfuller: in a raffle. For details please check out Tim or Chad’s journal. Tickets are only $10 and gets you one chance to win some great art and help out a stand up and super stellar guy at the same time!! Can’t beat that!

Thanks for stopping by !

Got tagged up by my good friends :icontheartyst: and :iconwillcaligan: to come up with 8 different or unique things about me……….so without further adieu here I goes-------

1. 8 is my favorite number. I wore it when I played baseball and still wear it when I play recreation league sports (basketball, flag football, softball)
2. I play basketball, flagfootball, and softball when I have time. This is easy enough so far!
3. I was a teenage amateur boxer a couple o’years back =) who had roughly 60 fights. I was a two time Georgia state Golden Gloves champ and once made it to the nationals in the Silver Gloves and fought in the championship against Nick Acevedo. . Nick beat former welter weight champ Bones Adams the night before I had to fight him and he also just recently appeared on the reality show called The Contender hosted by Sly Stallone and Sugar Ray Leonard!
4. I sold my first drawing, a Chester Chicken comic I made up, for 25 cents as a 4 year old to my biggest collector who recently has passed….my grandfather! (miss ya, grandpa)
5. Speaking of grandfathers, both my grandfathers were my biggest inspirations and were highly skilled at what they did. One was nicknamed Big Six, a 6’6”  professional golfer down in Georgia (not PGA level but he was a club pro) and the other grandfather was a highly skilled metal smith who made guns, cannons, and everything else you could think of out of metal or wood.
6. I currently work at a bank as a commercial loan guru who has been relegated to working with 4 other lending officers during these times of financial cutbacks.
7. I love food and spirits. I’m always on a quest to find the ultimate cuisine and drink to accompany it. I drink mostly heavy bodied beers with sediment that you can just about chew up and love German Rieslings, or any Rieslings that are well made.
8. I co-own a fireworks business with my brother and father (who is currently driving a truck over in Iraq!). It is hard work, but very fun work! We are currently looking at other sites to expand to as well as other business to get into.

Welp, that’s bout it. Back to the drawing table!
